Our Roots

Being a Black Brazilian and LGBTQI2+, our commitment to supporting our community is an integral part of who we are. We understand the unique challenges faced by individuals who identify as LGBTQI2+, particularly those who also belong to marginalized communities such as people of color.

Whether it's a large feast or an intimate gathering, Brazilian culinary roots emphasize the importance of coming together over food. It's a celebration of life, culture, and community that has been passed down through generations and continues to be an essential part of Brazilian culture today.

Our Commitment

It is essential that we work towards creating a more inclusive and accepting society for all, and this starts with supporting our own community. We must ensure that our voices are heard and our experiences are validated. This means standing up against racism, discrimination, transphobia, and homophobia, whether it's in our personal lives or in the wider community.

Our commitment to supporting the LGBTQI2+ community is rooted in our own experiences and the experiences of those who came before us. We must continue to fight for our rights and the rights of future generations, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to live their lives authentically and without fear of discrimination or violence.

In short, we must stand in solidarity with one another, advocating for our rights and supporting each other through the challenges we face. Together, we can create a more equitable and accepting world for all.
